My name is Sheri Lauren Schmidt and this site is dedicated to my art work and other creative pursuits. I produce acrylic paintings, portraits, book illustrations, watercolors, wall and floor murals, dreamscapes, photography, and the list goes on.

If you are interested in illustrations for your own book, contact me and I will be happy to give an estimate. I work in a variety of mediums and enjoy working to capture the spirit of a story in the illustrations. The illustrations in the Just Folks series were all sketched with black ink pen. Capturing the humor, nostalgia, and earthiness of Jerry’s stories has been my greatest and most creative challenge in illustrating the Just Folks stories. The covers were mixed media pieces, created using pastel, colored pencil, marker, and oil pastel. As I have time, I will be adding the illustrations to my art.com and cafepress gift shops.
